OUR BOARD

Beaucare is a high performing and financially secure organisation with a highly functional, long serving and proactive Board of very enthusiastic volunteers. We are now seeking applications for skilled and willing Board volunteers who are ideally located in, and/or can proactively represent, the Scenic Rim. There are 10 Board meetings and an AGM each year. Meetings are held on a Wednesday monthly for a duration of approximately 2 hours. There may be an occasional event or function to attend on behalf of Beaucare.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend Board meetings and respective Board committees
• Actively participate in Board discussions and decision-making processes
• Provide strategic guidance and direction to the organisation, including the development of the organisation’s strategic direction
• Ensure organisational compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor and evaluate the organisation’s performance and provide constructive feedback to the General Manager
• Act as an ambassador for the organisation, promoting its work and values to stakeholders

You will have a genuine interest in local community welfare and social assistance and are looking to contribute to Beaucare's strategic vision whilst also providing lived experience to the Board.

Candidates with lived experience in the areas of aged care, child care, disability and youth services are actively encouraged to apply.
