This role is based in Beaudesert which is in the beautiful Scenic Rim. We are located just 30 minutes from the centre of Logan, and 1 hour from the centre of Ipswich and the Gold Coast.

Your role

We are seeking an Accounts Officer to join our team, bringing strong all round finance expertise with a focus on NDIS and Home Care Package (HCP) processing. This is a part time position (45 hours per fortnight), and it will be based at our office located in Beaudesert. The position is paid at Level 3 of the Social and Community Services classification structure of the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award. Pay point will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The primary purpose of the position is to assist the Finance team with a variety of processing, reporting and administrative responsibilities. 

  • NDIS processing including claiming, quotes and service agreements
  • HCP processing including claiming, quotes and portal maintenance
  • First point of contact for all NDIS and HCP client queries
  • End of month journals and reconciliation
  • Support various finance functions including backfilling other roles as required
  • Phone and reception coverage as required

Your skills and experience

  • Certificate III In Business Administration/Finance or similar
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar finance role
  • Prior experience with NDIS and Home Care Package processing highly desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in finance including accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Demonstrated high level attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to work with accounting software packages (e.g. MYOB Advanced)
  • Excellent communication skills, including a great phone manner
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills including the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Proven customer service skills and ability to settle disputes with a proactive and constructive manner
  • Proven team player with a willingness to assist where and when required
  • Prior payroll experience will be highly regarded with potential opportunities to develop in this area for the right applicant

Mandatory requirements

  • Certificate III In Business Administration/Finance or similar
  • NDIS Worker Check or eligible to obtain
  • Positive Notice Blue Card or eligible to obtain
  • Drivers licence
